Environment - Air BP is presenting a new all-electric refuelling vehicle custom-designed for Ajaccio airport.
Ajaccio airport has taken another major step forward in its energy transition with the commissioning of the first electric 100 % aircraft refuelling vehicle, supplied in Corsica by Air BP.
This new-generation vehicle meets stringent requirements in terms of performance, reliability and safety, while significantly reducing the carbon footprint of ground operations.
- zero CO2 or NOX emissions from the tailpipe,
- Active thermal management of the battery system to ensure optimum performance in all climates and operating environments,
- energy recovery through regenerative braking,
- Reduced noise levels for a better working environment,
- Low-floor cab as standard for improved visibility, access and ease of use.
This is a concrete innovation for more sustainable aviation, illustrating the shared commitment of all the players in the sector to decarbonisation, safety and operational excellence.
