On 10 March, a large number of volunteers (staff from Air Corsica, Air France, the Brigade de Gendarmerie du Transport A\u00e9rien, Customs, the Ajaccio and Figari Control Authority, the Post Office)<\/em> mobilised on the platform to take part in our FODWALK<\/strong>, collective action in the service of air safety<\/strong> and the\u2019environment<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Objective: to cover the manoeuvring area in order to identify and remove FOD (Foreign Object Debris)<\/strong>, These objects or waste could represent a danger to aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After inspection of almost the entire runway and taxiways (TWY Alpha, Tango, Bravo, Echo and Fox), no FOD was detected on the aeronautical pavement<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, a lot of waste was collected in the strips, contributing to the\u00a0cleanliness of the platform<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0preserving the environment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A big thank you to all the volunteers<\/strong> for their mobilisation and commitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
